Hey, I'm Rachel and this site will inform you of my media a-level work. The preliminary work will be my first magazine cover and contents page that will help me reflect upon what i could do to create a better piece of work in the summer when i will make my final and improved magazine cover. For my front cover the positive aspects was my good range of photos and my good background with its bright colour scheme. The photos came out very clear and the lighting for my main image is bright and flattering. For my final in the summer, i should include more pugs like shocks and banners. Also, more text to go with the stories so readers can get a better concept of the stories before they read them fully. Really need to add the small necessities like a bar code, price and date. For my contents page i had a clear layout and interesting and unique interesting stories. Also, the background of my contents page matches the same style as my front cover. However for my improvements; i should include more images to make it less bland, this will be a good way to fill in the blank spaces. The follwing sketches are quick simple designs that i used as template for my preliminary task.   |
